Welcome to Japanese Society of Child Health Nursing

About Us

The JSCHN is a professional association founded for the purpose of developing and advancing research, practice and education associated with child health or pediatric nursing science. We also purse child health promotion by putting into practice accomplishments gained through these academic enterprises.

The Purpose of the JSCHN

Given the current situation, child health care is an area that needs drastic reforms in accordance with social changes and diversity in order to provide sufficient medical treatment and healthcare.
These reforms include improving child home-health care facilities, enriching educational support, and tackling any problems concerning child healthcare, such as child abuse or post partum depression.
The mission of the JSCHN, one of whose most outstanding organizational characteristics is that its membership includes practitioners, educators, and researchers, is to advance the scientific study of child health nursing and to provide practical knowledge through a wide range of scholarly exchange.
The Society aspires to a world in which children’s wellbeing and welfare are readily developed, irrespective of whether they are physically challenged or suffering any form of discomfort. With their organizations ranging widely (hospitals, schools, or institutes, for instance), our members are trying to make a variety of substantial contributions to the development and enhancement of practical skills, education and healthcare policy.
The Society’s affiliated organizations include Sukoyaka Family 21, A Liaison Conference of Child Care and Its Related Fields, Japan Association of Nursing Academies, Science Council of Japan, Social Insurance Union Societies Related Nursing, and World Academy of Nursing Science. We are trying to make a social contribution by coming to grip with interdisciplinary issues, providing knowledge and achievements for the solution, and shaping a policy of child health nursing in conjunction with these prestigious organizations.
